“Our channel has been leading Ukraine's TV landscape for three years in a row. I should admit that it was quite a challenge to maintain the lead amid the competition that flared up in 2019. Nonetheless, our team tried it hard, investing considerable effort. And we did it. Last year we responded swiftly to the information demands of the society. On the eve of the presidential and parliamentary elections, we launched the Key Topic: Elections talk show and a number of Segodnya special news projects. In autumn, we launched a political show, Freedom of Speech by Savik Shuster. At the same time, we experimented with entertainment formats, surprised our viewers with loud concerts, added more drama to our series, entered the international co-product market (shot the first Ukrainian Lithuanian series Markus) and showed about a hundred of premieres. In 2020, we will continue our most successful projects and show many premieres, with some of them being released as early as this January. In addition, Ukraina TV will broadcast matches of the national football team in the qualifiers for Euro 2020 and the most spectacular matches of the European Championship,” said CEO of Ukraina TV channel Viktoria Korohod.
In 2019, the channel was called Ukraine's favourite thanks to its morning, daytime and prime in-house projects, popular music shows and concerts, weekend movies, TV series, exclusive football broadcasts, news and analytical programmes, and social projects.
