DTEK has completed the construction of one of the country's largest wind power facility, Prymorska Wind Farm. Environmentally clean energy is generated by 52 turbines of the 200 MW wind park.
Maxim Timchenko, CEO, DTEK: "DTEK is Ukraine's largest national investor in green energy . We have already invested over €1bn in the construction of 1 GW solar and wind farms. Our green project partners are the world's leading heavy engineering manufacturers and financial institutions. Effective partnership helps attract foreign investments, advanced technologies, and expertise. This builds trust in Ukraine and encourages new investors to invest in our economy. The launch of Prymorska Wind Farm is a contribution of the company to the nation's energy independence, improvement of environmental protection and life of our communities".
The facility will generate 700 million kWh of energy annually. This is enough to supply electricity to about 360,000 Ukrainian households. Also, the wind farm will help reduce CO2 emissions by 750,000 tonnes annually.
Unique technological solutions implemented at Prymorska Wind Farm enable the most efficient operation of the company's equipment. The wind park can boast of the first digital substation in Ukraine. The capacity of each GE wind turbine is 3.8 MW.
The investment in Prymorska Wind Farm project made €321m, including €180m worth loans from German banks against the security of export credit agencies, Euler Hermes (Germany) and CESCE (Spain).
